My name is Carlos Argote, I am originally from Guanajuato, Mexico, but have been splitting my time between Barra de Navidad, Mexico and Okotoks, AB, Canada. Throughout my life, I have felt a strong desire to support those in need. After discovering the vibrant Pickleball community in Barra, I found myself captivated by the sport and its potential for bringing people together.

In July 2023, my beautiful mother, ANITA, left us to become another star in the sky. But her light continues to shine within us and echoes in our hearts, inspiring us to do something beautiful in her name.

I've created the ANITA Pickleball Foundation & Academy to keep her spirit alive among us. It's all about spreading love, joy, and those beautiful values she always bestowed upon us. Anita always found a reason to smile, even when things got tough. We want to share that very same smile with all of you, and most importantly, with those who need it the most in our community.

What do we have in mind?

Playing with Love: We're going to establish a Pickleball academy, because my mom loved seeing how sports brought people together. We want to bring that fun to the kids in Barra de Navidad and the areas where access is more complicated.

Learning Together:

Anita believed in education and in the power of knowing how to take care of ourselves. That's why we're going to offer workshops on important topics like abuse and sexual violence. We want to protect our youth and provide them with the tools to face any challenge.

Love in Special Times:

And, of course, we're going to share love during Christmas and Three Kings Day. Nothing warms the heart more than seeing the smiles of children when they receive a little gift filled with affection!

Taking Care of Our Home:

She always taught us to take care of our environment. So, in her honour, we're going to organize community clean-ups and street care events.

We're certain that my mother would be excited and proud to see what we're building together. We invite you to be apart of this beautiful legacy of love. Every grain of sand counts, and together we can achieve something remarkable!
